Project Manager

A leading construction firm is currently hiring for an MEP Project Manager to oversee a major infrastructure project in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity starting with pre-construction in Seattle, WA in Fall 2025, followed by on-site work in Anchorage from April to November 2026. Candidates must be based in Seattle or willing to relocate to Anchorage for at least half the year. This position requires a minimum of 810 years of experience in construction project management with a strong focus on MEP systems and large-scale project execution.

Pay $120,000$160,000 annually (Depending on years of experience, project scale, subcontractor management, and scheduling proficiency)

Location Seattle, WA (Fall 2025) & Anchorage, AK (AprilNovember 2026)

Schedule Standard MondayFriday (4050 hours per week, with potential for OT)

(Responsibilities)

Manage all aspects of MEP subcontractor contracts, including negotiation, execution, compliance, and performance tracking

Lead and mentor project teams to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, with a focus on subcontractor coordination

Ensure financial success by tracking labor, costs, and forecasts, and providing accurate weekly/monthly financial reporting

Develop and maintain a CPM baseline schedule using P6, with monthly updates to ensure timely project completion

Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with contract, permit, safety, environmental, and ethical requirements

Serve as the primary point of contact for MEP subcontractors, communicating contract changes, entitlement arguments, and time/cost impacts

Ensure adequate resources (staff, equipment, materials) are available to meet project demands

Participate in estimating and procurement phases as needed

Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change order approvals

(Qualification Requirements)

810 years of experience in construction project management with a strong focus on MEP systems

Experience managing large-scale construction projects ($50M+)

Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical construction practices

Proficient in P6 scheduling, contract management, RFIs, and submittals

Previous experience with financial oversight, subcontractor management, and construction supervision

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Preferably from a contractor background

Less than 5 years of relevant MEP project management experience

No experience managing large-scale construction projects

No experience with subcontractor oversight or financial reporting

Unwillingness to travel or relocate to Anchorage, AK for the project duration

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
