This is skilled welding work at the journeyman level in metal fabrication and repair; laying out and designing the work to be done; and using acetylene and electrical welding equipment in the heating, welding, cutting, and brazing of ferrous and nonferrous metals in accordance with standard trade practice. An employee in this class must exercise a considerable degree of initiative, judgement, and ingenuity in performing day to day work.
Salary: $23.71 - $33.30 Hourly

To Qualify
Minimum Qualifications. Applicants Must:
- Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class "B" Commercial Driver License (CDL).
- Have considerable experience as a journeyman welder including experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Have fabrication experience and have one or more welding certifications.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, an applicant must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.
