Job Profile Summary Under general direction, this position is responsible for performing plumbing work and maintaining the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures. ---------- This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Essential Functions: Daily - 40%: Performs plumbing work and maintains the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures. Other - 20%: Troubleshoots and maintains electronic circuit boards on fixtures. Daily - 15%: Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; performs routine duties involving the repair and maintenance of tools, equipment and accessories. Other - 10%: Picks up and delivers materials to job sites; unloads delivery trucks; operates forklifts and other equipment. Other - 10%: Maintains and provides for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in campus facilities. Other - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: May trains other non-skilled or semi-skilled staff within the trade Ability to recognize needs of unit and own responsibility.
