Job Description
A highly respected and long-established MEP consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, PE to take on a lead role in launching a new regional office. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking, design-focused team with deep expertise in healthcare, higher education, research, and commercial building systems.
We are looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial engineer with strong technical skills and leadership ability who is ready to help shape the future of a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the local technical lead and office representative
Lead electrical engineering design efforts from concept through construction
Build and mentor a local team of engineers and designers
Develop and maintain client relationships across the region
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and design quality
Collaborate closely with leadership at other office locations
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in electrical engineering
8+ years of experience in electrical building systems design
Proven experience in healthcare, higher education, or research facility projects
Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and relevant codes/standards
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with lighting and power design software a plus
Excellent communication and project leadership skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and grow a regional office
