Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is accepting applications for a full-time Painter. The recruitment salary range for this position starts at $31,200.00 annually.
The primary duty of this position is to maintain the interior of the facility and all outlying buildings on campus by completing patching, painting, and repair work as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Cleaning, priming, and painting all institution equipment
Patching holes in existing structures, filling, taping, and sanding of plaster
Refinishing furniture using varnish, stains, sealers, and/or glazing
Assisting with other general maintenance duties as needed
This position is designated MANDATORY and MUST report or stay over during adverse weather events and/or other emergencies.

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

We are a specialized long-term care facility focusing on maintaining quality of life and dignity for adults with neurocognitive or neurodevelopmental disorders with coexisting complex medical and behavioral needs whose level of support extends beyond that which can be provided in family or community living settings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
The successful candidate will return to the Work Experience section of the application and thoroughly document, in detail, that they possess the following:
Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the painting trade
Demonstrated skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the painting trade
Demonstrated experience in patching and repairing holes
