Crate Builder Job Description The Crate Builder is responsible for constructing durable wooden crates and packaging structures used to transport and protect manufactured goods. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and basic carpentry skills to ensure products are safely secured for shipment. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or specifications to determine crate dimensions and materials. Measure, cut, and assemble wooden components using hand and power tools. Build crates tailored to the size, weight, and fragility of the product. Apply protective coatings or treatments to wood when necessary. Safely operate equipment such as saws, nail guns, drills, and forklifts. Inspect finished crates for quality, durability, and compliance. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with shipping and production teams to meet daily output goals. Perform repairs or modifications to damaged crates as needed.
