BMG Mechanic Hydraulic L5 (multiple positions) to p
erform mechanic and hydraulic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs, replacements, upgrades and other corrective actions, performing systematic analysis of problems and improvement opportunities and providing support as a technical referent, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards. Disassemble and assemble complex mechanical components. Follow up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness. Inspect any mechanic or hydraulic equipment according to maintenance plans. Perform complex failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions. Perform reviews of emergency groups repairs and complex failure analysis. Plan subassemblies policies. Perform mechanical and optical alignments. Build hydraulic piping, install accessories and set up hydraulic pump stations. Interpret technical drawings. Operate welding equipment. Verify the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications. Develop and test preventive complex maintenance plans. Carry out analysis and proposal of investments in equipment and machine upgrades and replacements. Plan corrective actions for scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns, based on the inspections performed or the problems diagnosed. Perform or follow up predictive maintenance techniques. Plan and guarantee the availability of resources, materials and spare parts, ensuring a suitable minimum stock and the definition of the required information on the maintenance systems. Interact with other areas. Research spare parts requirements and new material utilization. Define maintenance strategies for each piece of equipment (corrective, preventive or predictive). Carry out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable. Update information in the maintenance systems and prepare maintenance reports. Rotational day and night schedule of 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required.
Minimum Requirements:Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation in a steel manufacturing facility performing each of the following: interpreting Maintenance Plans through work order in SAP to diagnose and troubleshoot Furnace/burners electrical, mechanical and instrumentation equipment issues; executing planned preventative maintenance and changeovers; executing preventative maintenance in hydraulic systems, pumps, and valves; working in combustion process in a rolling mill.
Special Requirement:
Up to 5% domestic travel required for training courses with vendors.
