Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of a high-end residential project in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction management, familiarity with NYC building codes and permitting processes, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, from consultants to fabricators.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Administration for all phases of townhouse construction
Work with team members to manage project timeline, budget, and quality control to ensure successful and timely delivery.
Coordinate daily with the general contractor, subcontractors, interior designer, engineers, and consultants.
Lead regular site meetings and maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with DOB regulations, zoning requirements, and all applicable safety standards.
Communicate clearly and consistently with ownership and design team, providing status updates and addressing any issues promptly.
Track procurement schedules and deliveries for long-lead items and finishes.
Monitor and mitigate risks, proactively resolving construction or logistical challenges.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management for residential construction in NYC.
Proven experience managing townhouse or brownstone renovations or ground-up builds.
Experience in concrete and steel construction, including curtain wall envelopes
Strong knowledge of NYC construction regulations and permit processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient with project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Excel).
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Additional Details:
Must be based in NYC or able to commute regularly to the job site.
This is an in-person role with frequent site presence required.
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
