Safety Supervisor

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforce safety rules with production personnel
Work with the Shift Manager to complete safety action items
Perform First Aid Treatment
Completing Incident Reports, Incident Investigations (RCA) and Notifications
Assist with Workers' Compensation reporting and handling
Perform HSE Inspections every shift
Perform routine hazard walks
Assist in maintaining SDS
Verification of Daily Inspections - Forklift, Scissor Lift, Etc.
New Hire and Annual Safety Training
Assisting with Regulatory and Customer Audits
Monthly Safety Meetings
Inspection of all Emergency Equipment
Implementation of all HSE Policies and Procedures
Ensures compliance of all HSE Policies and Procedures
Acts as primary resource for all safety concerns/issues
Works with all supervision to correct all safety concerns/issues
Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
Assists in Safety Recordkeeping requirements
Available to be on-call when needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, and climb
Use of both hands, arms, legs, and feet are required
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or greater when performing emergency rescue
Must be able to wear a respirator
Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures
Note: This is not an office position - it is 12 hours or more on the production floor.
Preferred Skills:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety role
Training Skills
Computer skills
Priority given to individuals with safety training certifications (Confined Space, First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, OSHA General
Industry/Construction, and other similar credentials or training) - cards or certificates must be provided
