The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are adding an Architectural Project Designer II to our growing McKinstry's Architectural team. Your passion, experience and endless curiosity will be important in our drive for transformative change in the industry. Some responsibilities you will have include:
Work within McKinstry's Architectural team on a variety of quick-turn, fast-paced projects
Responsible for coordinating the production of deliverables throughout the architectural design process
Responsible for supporting the Architectural Project Manager with the following:
Production of construction documents
Technical detailing
Revit modeling and BIM360
Building code and ADA research
FF&E research and selections
Concept and design development
Project scheduling
Cross-disciplinary coordination
Construction administration duties
Consistent communication and follow-through
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Proficiency and experience working effectively and efficiently with Revit 3-D modeling, BIM360, and project coordination required
Proficiency and experience creating and coordinating construction documents required
Understanding of architectural detailing and construction methods
Knowledge of Building code, ADA and jurisdictional/permitting processes
Ability to lead development and updates of team design standards, templates and Revit/BIM processes
Ability to create meetings minutes, reports, conduct occupancy and code calculations with oversight
Curiosity and passion for understanding and learning more about the architectural design process, and a desire to take on more responsibilities
Experience with Construction Administration duties including submittal reviews, RFI responses, communicating with jurisdictions
Ability to work with assigned project team productively and collaboratively
Proficient in MS Office programs
Architectural licensure or in-progress to licensure preferred
NCARB certificate is preferred
LEED AP preferred
Experience with SketchUp software a plus
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
Minimum 5 years related experience

The pay range for this position is $69,840 - $97,020 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
