Description:

Client Dept s Transportation GIS Unit seeks an experienced GIS Architect to design, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS solutions across hybrid (on-prem & Azure cloud) environments. This role supports modernization efforts and mission-critical GIS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design enterprise GIS architecture using Esri tech (ArcGIS Enterprise, Online, Pro).
• Deploy solutions across Azure and on-prem infrastructure.
• Manage system upgrades, integrations, and performance.
• Collaborate on hybrid connectivity (VPNs, endpoints, Azure AD).
• Implement automation via PowerShell, DevOps, BICEP/ARM templates.
• Create documentation, architecture diagrams, and system models.

Required Skills:

• 5 7+ years with Esri technologies in enterprise setups.
• Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise stack.
• Knowledge of Azure services (VMs, App Services, RBAC, Monitor).
• Experience with Roads & Highways, transportation-focused GIS.
• Hybrid cloud architecture & infrastructure-as-code (PowerShell, Terraform).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with security best practices, identity federation, LDAP/SAML.
• Experience with architecture governance and technical standards.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $68.00-$78.00 per hour.
