This role requires exceptional hands-on skills in precise conduit bending and installation, cable pulling, panel and device terminations, and the ability to accurately interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.

What you will do…

  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling for BMS and EPMS systems (e.g., control wiring, communication wiring, sensor wiring, network cabling).
  • Perform meticulous conduit installation (EMT, Rigid, Flex, PVC, etc.) including bending, threading, and secure mounting in accordance with industry standards, NEC codes, and project specifications.
  • Execute precise cable pulling and dressing, ensuring proper segregation and labeling within cable trays, conduits, and racks.
  • Install and mount various BMS and EPMS devices such as sensors (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow), actuators, control panels, power meters, and communication gateways.
  • Perform accurate and reliable terminations of control wiring, network cables, and power wiring at panels, field devices, and equipment.
  • Ensure all terminations are clean, secure, labeled correctly, and comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Rigorously read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, control panel drawings, wiring diagrams, and architectural blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
  • Identify discrepancies or potential issues in drawings and communicate them effectively to the project lead or engineer.
  • Perform pre-commissioning checks, point-to-point verifications, and continuity testing on installed wiring and devices.
  • Assist commissioning teams in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and communication issues related to BMS/EPMS installations.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, ensuring installations are neat, organized, and meet quality control requirements.
  • Document red-lined drawings and installation progress accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, other technicians, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Communicate daily progress, issues, and requirements to the project lead.

What you will need to succeed…

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical installation, preferably within data center, industrial, or commercial environments.
  • Proven expertise in various conduit bending, threading, and installation techniques for different conduit types (EMT, Rigid, Flex, PVC).
  • Demonstrated experience with cable pulling, termination, and dressing for low-voltage systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Experience with panel and device terminations for control systems (e.g., DDC controllers, PLCs, power meters).
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems) components and their functions.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools common to electrical installation.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced data center environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Trade school certification or apprenticeship in electrical, controls, or related field.
  • Experience with specific BMS or EPMS vendor products (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Eaton).
