System Assembler - General Fabricator

We are looking for a Rental and Modular Boiler System Assembler to join our team! This position will install manufactured and purchased parts, boiler equipment, boiler accessories, and other materials and supports within our modular boiler plants and rental units. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and experience with the following:

• Basic wiring
• Pipe fitting and fabrication
• Steel fabrication
• Reading blueprints and schematics

This is a full-time, hourly position located in Abingdon, MD. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM; Saturdays as needed

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Install boilers, feedwater systems, water softeners, mount panels, and controls, fabricate brackets and supports and trim out modular containers or trailers, as directed
• Obtain blueprints and any special instructions to install auxiliary equipment such as feed pumps, oil heaters, chemical feeders, injectors, etc. including piping and wiring of same and any brackets or hangers
• Uses various hand tools and power tools, as needed to facilitate the work
• Work in a safe manner maintaining an orderly and clean work area

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Steel working and piping experience, preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and/or diagrams a plus

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Required to enter boiler through 16" diameter rear access.
