Position: TIG and MIG Welder
Location: Northeast Philadelphia, PA

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced TIG and MIG Welder to join their team and uphold their commitment to safety and customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled welder to their expertise in a production facility located in Northeast Philadelphia. The successful candidate will collaborate with the shop supervisor and senior management to ensure all manufacturing equipment is fit and welded to job specifications and meets outlined requirements. You will work closely with other team members to achieve company goals. Our client offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including laundered uniforms.
What You Offer:
Extensive knowledge in TIG/MIG welding and fabrication.
Strong ability and in-depth knowledge of common welding processes, uses of jigs, fixtures, and other template equipment.
Physical dexterity for welding and fabrication processes and blue interpretation.
Competent inspection of weld joints and welding processes.
Proficiency in general welding fabrication, including:
Job Requirements:
TIG, MIG, and STICK welding processes
Trailer and Tractor Fabrication
Sanitary welds
Bridge port
Lath welds
Drill press
CNC welding
Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Operating safety equipment and using safe work habits
Minimum Requirements:
Work Environment:
Fast-paced work environment in and around industrial machinery.
Cold storage environment with production rooms kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods.
Noise level varies and can be loud at times.
Physical Requirements:
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day).
Capability to walk throughout the department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day).
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis with reasonable accommodation.
Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms.
Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day).
Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position.
