Job Description We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer and Planner to join our Renewable Central Maintenance team. This role will focus on supporting major wind component restorations and optimizing maintenance planning for civil works. Responsibilities
- Provide support to the maintenance team responsible for major wind component restorations, such as large gearboxes and blade replacements.
- Collaborate with maintenance planning to reduce preparation time for civil works before project commencement.
- Assess optimal road entries for major component restorations using GIS tools and integrate data into our platform.
- Conduct road surveys and evaluate necessary modifications for safe passage of large cranes and equipment.
- Design road modifications to facilitate safe access for large equipment, including crane pad designs and compaction/soil studies if required.
- Ensure compliance with state, county, and landowner road agreements to permit the safe access of equipment.
- Manage civil projects impacting maintenance planning with accountability for timelines and road modification activities.
- Civil engineering degree or equivalent direct experience in road modifications design.
- Strong computer proficiency, including GIS tools and the creation of .kmz files.
- Coding skills for road-use optimization studies.
- Proficient project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with management, operational leaders, maintenance teams, and external stakeholders.
- 3+ years of roadway design experience.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, site development, grading, and drainage.
- Familiarity with Microstation and roadway construction.
