**Key Responsibilities**

- Responsible for test property installation, fixturing, instrumentation installation and validation, teardown/removal of test equipment and vehicles for the various types of wind tunnel tests.

- Responsible for staging, movement, build, teardown, and validation of all wind tunnel vehicles.

- Complete assignments according to work requests, on time, with high quality.

- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with test vehicles and instrumentation.

- Collaborate with others inside and outside the work group & work effectively in a team environment. Able to work in a diverse work environment.

- Ability to develop, produce and maintain departmental performance metrics.

- Maintains safety and good housekeeping standards, supporting Lean Process implementation

1. Our team works together. We have multiple tasks that require multiple people to perform. Our tests are process driven as well. Each test has to be completed the same way in order to keep the data consistent. We do have federally required tests that have to be completed every step of the procedure.

2. Candidate must be okay with working second shift. We do not see any opportunities anytime soon to get them to another shift.

- Team size is 6 on off shift plus support engineers

- Openings are to support the workload

- Work heavily with engineers and support the testing

- Perform vehicle testing and post-test de-prepping in the garage, including conducting basic health checks to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

- Follow standardized procedures for all tasks, with clear and consistent processes in place to support efficiency and accuracy.

- Fixed work schedule with clearly defined hours.

- Potential for extension based on project workload and budget availability.

**Education/Experience:**

- Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field required.

- 8-10 years' experience required

- Open to less years of experience

**Top Skills:**

- Seeking a candidate with a basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, part replacements, A/C servicing, and instrumentation setup.

- A solid understanding of vehicle electrical systems is required, along with the ability to perform basic metal fabrication tasks as needed. Their testing systems to operate the tunnel can be complex for people that do not do well on computers. They will operate the tunnel manually in some situations.

- Experience with data acquisition systems is a plus. This role requires working with multiple computer platforms to collect and analyze test data; training will be provided in this area.
