Project Overview:
The Construction Supervisor III will act as a civil inspector and safety representative, serving as the owner's rep to verify contractor work (Mortenson) aligns with contractual obligations.
The role includes field inspections using ArcGIS, safety oversight, and participation in incident investigations and safety culture improvements.
Begins with a 6:30 AM POD meeting, followed by coordination with Mortenson's civil team and site staff.
The majority of the day is spent in the field conducting inspections and safety walkdowns using ArcGIS. The role includes responding to safety incidents and weather-related risks.
Collaboration with Mortenson and occasional interaction with subcontractors (e.g., crane companies)
Primarily supports internal teams and Mortenson as the EPC contractor.
The role supports two solar projects: a 76 MW site and a 196 MW site
Work Hours / Shift: 5-6 days/week, 6:30 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM MST
Qualifications:
Civil inspection and safety experience
ArcGIS, Procore, Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license
OSHA certifications or degree in Occupational Safety & Health
Strong communication skills
Team player
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
8-10 years in construction management, preferably in renewables
Experience with Mortenson is a plus
Safety or construction management degree preferred
Solar/renewable experience.
Ideally 8-10 years of experience, but flexibility for candidates with strong field experience and relevant education.
Prior experience with renewables is highly preferred.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
