Ignite Your Potential: Project Manager - Civil Engineering Leadership
Join our dynamic team at our established Bellingham office headquarters. We are seeking an experienced, PE level Project Manager, to lead and oversee civil engineering projects from initial planning to successful construction. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills with a knack for effective delegation, and a proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Your Mission:
Drive and oversee civil engineering projects through the crucial permitting and construction phases, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery, meeting all client and regulatory specifications.
Spearhead the creation of engineering plans, reports, and design documents, strategically delegating tasks to our talented junior level EITs and civil designers to maximize project efficiency and accelerate progress.
Collaborate dynamically with clients, regulatory agencies, external consultants, and internal teams, orchestrating seamless coordination to guarantee outstanding project success.
Leverage your expertise to perform critical hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, ensuring sound engineering principles are applied.
Inspire and mentor our junior engineers through dedicated training, providing invaluable technical guidance and fostering their professional development into future leaders.
Proactively monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring optimal efficiency and impactful results.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Play a key role in business development initiatives, contributing to compelling proposal preparation and nurturing strong, lasting client relationships.
Other Duties:
This exciting position will involve very occasional but valuable site visits. The majority of our collaboration that brings you into the heart of our projects occurs in client meetings held at our office overlooking Squalicum Harbor on the Bellingham Bay Waterfront. Please note that this job description offers just a glimpse into the possibilities, as the varying complexity of projects undertaken by Axe Engineering means your responsibilities will continuously evolve and expand. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking self-starter, energized by the opportunity to help scale a talented team of professionals to conquer complex projects within a dynamic and adaptive environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus in private land development and site design.
PE license within the state of Washington (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of Western Washington civil engineering principles, design standards, and permitting processes.
Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, WWHM2012, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate in a hybrid working environment and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Salary:
$90,000 to $125,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we are offering for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. An employees pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.
