Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Kent County, DE Pay: 28-32/hour Schedule: 1st Shift or 2nd shift; 4x10 hour shifts Job Type: Permanent Position Summary We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Kent County. This role focuses exclusively on mechanical maintenanceensuring our manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The mechanic will execute preventative maintenance and repairs based on work orders from our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Core Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, pumps, and more Conduct tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and replacing parts Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work and components used Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve mechanical issues Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area Contribute to developing maintenance schedules and procedures Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong understanding of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, drives) Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working independently and safely Preferred Qualifications Vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Why Work With Us Be part of a company that values your contributions.
