Area Field Engineer

An Area Field Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Thacker Pass, NV area. A senior field engineer responsible for leading engineering and construction activities at a Sulfuric Acid Plant, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

responsibilities:

• Lead engineer for SAP operations, coordinating various engineering disciplines.
  
  
• Mentor and develop team members through CPM and competency assessments.
  
  
• Direct construction engineers in discipline-specific engineering tasks.
  
  
• Collaborate with design teams on constructability issues.
  
  
• Review material deliveries and warehousing for accuracy.
  
  
• Manage quantity take-offs, control, reporting, and forecasting.
  
  
• Enforce Zero Accidents afety policies and equipment safety compliance.
  
  
• Coordinate between Construction and Startup teams for system walkdowns and turnover.
  
  
• Review and approve inspection and test plans.
  
  
• Coordinate review and approval of subcontractor submittals.

Skills:

• Expertise in multiple engineering disciplines related to heavy industrial construction.
  
  
• In-depth understanding of construction, cost, schedule, and contract administration.
  
  
• Knowledge of safety, environmental compliance, and company ES&H standards.
  
  
• Familiarity with SAP systems and industry-standard applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  
  
• strong knowledge of current engineering design standards.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree + 10-13 years of experience, or
  
  
• 14-17 years of relevant experience without a degree.
