Job Description:

RENK America is seeking an International Business Development Manager or Director to maximize RENK Americas success in pursuing international opportunities for the tracked vehicle engines, transmissions, and mobility solutions. This position will form critical relationships with end users, vehicle prime contractors, and solution partners. This role can be remote or local to Muskegon.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Project Management and executive management of the RENK America and Vehicle Mobility Solutions in both the U.S. and Germany to define market and customer opportunities and grow sales revenues.
  • Develop new customer relationships and maintain existing relationships by establishing a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
  • Build, deepen and maintain high level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition.
  • Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of international market, client, and technology trends and advancements.
  • Remain up to date on propulsion technologies, tracked vehicle designs, and other aspects of the combat vehicle industry.
  • Attend industry events, follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the RENK America and Vehicle Mobility Solutions team.
  • Prepare and present formal presentations to end users and customers.
  • Responsible to meet order intake targets defined with the RENK America Leadership.
  • Develop and lead campaigns to secure RENK Americas mobility solutions ambitions in the various international markets.
  • Actively lead capture teams on key business opportunities, i.e. review RFQ's, specifications and other customer documents to develop and prepare proposals and quotations together with the RENK America business development team and manage contract negotiations.
  • Actively engage with decision makers to acquire R&D funds for efforts that support the international strategy.

  • A proven track record of building customer and industry relationships.
  • Professional experience or background in military track or wheeled vehicle market.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple accounts at one time.
  • Tenacious drive for results within a solutions mindset that seeks to deeply understand the customer and customer needs and apply innovative thinking to solve problems and capture opportunities.
  • Uphold a high ethical standard with all business dealings concerning the company.
  • Ability to travel more than 50%.
Position Requirements

Experience/ Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field with 6+ years experience
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field with 4+ years experience
  • International business development experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior combat vehicle industry experience strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in developing work statements and constructing proposals
  • Depth and breadth in business acumen across the major functional disciplines including Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Contracts, Business Development, Marketing and Sales.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and other Windows based PC tools.
