Creekstone Farms Premium Beef LLC seeks a Controls & Electrical
Superintendent in Arkansas City, KS.
Duties: Participate in and support capacity planning and the development
of strategic goals for automated and plant electrical systems.
Coordinate with Plant Production Managers, Maintenance Managers, IT
Network Manager, business application owners, and outside vendors to
coordinate appropriate measures to address system failures. Supervise
the maintenance of workstations, printers, scanners, cameras, PLCs,
scales, metal detectors, and other plant equipment and electrical
systems. Plan, organize, and direct the work of supervisors and hourly
technicians. Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
and standards. Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee
coaching and development. Make employment decisions. Assure that all
employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work
instructions. Oversee training/cross-training of assigned staff,
appraise performance, and initiate discipline process. Verify labor
hours and payroll report accuracy. Manage control systems which include
working with equipment vendors and contractors. Manage troubleshooting
and repair of packaging and conveying systems, including PLCs, labeling
equipment, metal detectors, scales, and scanners. Work with maintenance
to perform and test system connectivity and functionality. Anticipate,
mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical distribution
and power problems, motor control systems, lighting, pumps, and other
systems and sub-systems as necessary for continued plant production and
operation. Support application development teams throughout project
lifecycles. Analyze production and physical plant operations for
reliability and cost-saving opportunities. Recommend, schedule, and
assist with plant modifications, upgrades, reconfigurations, and/or
equipment installation. Conduct research on emerging products, services,
protocols, and standards in support of control systems procurement and
development efforts. Create required reports in response to business
needs. Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and
contractors to secure repair parts and services. Maintain policies,
procedures, and associated training plans for system administration and
appropriate use. Manage and/or provide guidance to other members of the
team. Deliver against monthly targets using leading indicator KPI.
Manage and promote accountability and success promoting a Creekstone
Proud Culture. Assist all plant managers and personnel as needed.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control
Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent) plus 2 years of
experience in the job offered, manufacturing engineering, electrical
engineering, automation engineering, information technology, or related
occupation(s).
Requires 2 years of experience: Maintaining electrical equipment,
Troubleshooting of PLC and complex electrical equipment, HMI experience
in troubleshooting equipment, Supervising a crew of electricians, and IT
skillset for technical knowledge and reporting.
40 hours/week. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
