We are seeking a skilled, reliable general laborer to join our growing company. You will be responsible for assisting contractors operating heavy machinery and following all safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
General laborer duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Unloading tools, preparing and stacking building materials, and setting up equipment.
- Following project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
- Using construction and maintenance tools/equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Ensuring regular and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn.
- Completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Safely operate a variety of tools including pressure washers, jack hammers, drills, saws, grinders, etc.
- Preparing new construction sites by digging and moving dirt.
- Providing assistance to contractors as needed.
- Ensuring construction equipment are tools are cleaned and stored properly.
General laborer requirements and qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school degree or equivalent educational experience.
- Vocational school or trade apprenticeship is desired but not necessary.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40lbs.
- Comfortability climbing ladders and working at elevated heights.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team.
