**1 | SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:**

The Drafter, as part of the company's construction department, will be responsible for creating and preparing drawings to be used in developing and constructing civil and electrical construction projects. As well as collection of field data, and layout staking.

**2 | MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- Create drawings for construction projects using AutoDesk Suite and other drafting systems.

- Participate in design and development meetings as they relate to ongoing projects.

- Create visual guidelines for development and construction purposes; conceptual drawings, 3D modeling, feasibility drawings.

- Draft technical details; specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.

- Draft concept, planning, construction and as-built drawings.

- Support the project planning team and construction department as needed.

- Collection of survey field data using a GNSS receiver with data collector and layout staking.

**3 | ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:**

Reports to the Field Design Manager (and/or Head of Construction); no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

**4 | SKILLS:**

- Two-year Associate degree or higher in Construction Design, or related field preferred; or significant equivalent professional experience

- Electrical Design experience is a plus

- Minimum of 1 yr of relevant work or internship experience

- Detail-oriented and thorough

- Excellent verbal communication skills

- Strong problem solving and analysis skills

- Creative conceptual thinker, self-directed and self-driven

- Proven ability to deliver high-volume, quality content under tight deadlines

- AutoCAD Civil 3D, Sketchup or other 3D modeling software and MS Office experience required.

- Basic surveying experience, collecting of field data and layout staking
