Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent to lead a crew of 5-10 workers in the construction of parking structures for solar projects. This role is crucial to delivering safe, high-quality steel erection while adhering to schedules and engineering plans. Responsibilities Oversee daily steel erection activities for solar-integrated parking structures. Manage and direct a team of ironworkers, welders, and general laborers. Ensure all work aligns with blueprints, structural drawings, and safety requirements. Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and lift plans. Maintain clear communication with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors. Enforce safety procedures and promote a culture of accountability on site. Troubleshoot field challenges and propose solutions in real time. Keep project logs, reports, and timecards organized and up to date. Conduct daily huddles and quality checks to keep work moving smoothly. Essential Skills Structural steel construction experience. Supervisory experience leading teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in structural steel erection, ideally in solar or commercial construction. Prior experience leading crews on complex steel projects. Strong understanding of rigging, welding, bolting, and crane operations. Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop plans, and lift plans. Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Comfortable using digital tools for reporting and coordination. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
