Position Summary
Under general supervision, the position maintains and distributes building archive documents. Prepares, maintains, and updates college drawings based on verbal, written instructions, sketches, and/or formal documents.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains physical and digital building documentation.
Prepares floor plans, site plans, and other drawings for minor alterations and small construction projects using computer aided drafting techniques.
Performs inspections of existing facilities to determine accuracy and conducts field measurements.
Assists Project Managers with various tasks, which can include retrieving archived projects, measuring spaces, and managing construction documents throughout all phases of a project.
Assists in preparation of cost estimates, scheduling construction and renovation projects, and handles small renovation projects.
Prepares presentations for the department and the college.
Utilizes CAD equipment and technology, maintains current knowledge of CAD technology principles, and applications.
Responds to requests from outside architects, engineers, contractors, and CNM departments and compiles data or documentation related to CNM sites and buildings, which may include architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, site, drawings/specifications, and operation and manuals.
Preforms large format copying and printing of drawings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Engineering, Architecture, or related field of study and one (1) year of related experience.
