Job Description

A well-established, multi-disciplinary firm is seeking a motivated Survey Office Technician or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) who is eager to take on a variety of projects and grow professionally. The candidate should have experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and will work with field teams to collect data and implement it into construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Draft boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys, as well as plats and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Interpret legal descriptions, easement documents, and field notes for accurate data representation.
  • Coordinate with field crews to compute and prepare data for fieldwork and construction staking.
  • Research public records, utility data, and aerial imagery to support survey documentation.
  • Explore advanced technologies such as UAS (drones), laser scanning, and point cloud processing.
Essential Skills
  • Survey experience or understanding of surveying with 0-1 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and knowledge of the survey industry.
  • Comfortable working in an office setting, not a field role.
  • Expertise in topography, topographic surveys, land surveying, site development, and ALTA surveys.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • LSIT preferred but not required.
  • Over 3 years of experience is desirable, with a willingness to learn and adapt to company standards.
Work Environment

This role requires full-time presence in a brand new office space in Plymouth, with potential for flexibility and remote days in the future. The survey team consists of 5-10 people, working alongside multiple field crews and collaborating with the Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture teams. This position offers long-term opportunities for professional growth and development within a reputable firm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
