The Industry Partner Solutions (IPS) organization is responsible for accelerating revenue and share growth by empowering customers and partners to securely transform with Microsoft Cloud, AI, Windows devices and experiences. Within IPS, the Windows and Devices Sales (WDS) combines the build and sell motions of Windows and device solutions to delight Commercial and Consumer customers worldwide.

As part of WDS, the Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell breakthrough AI-powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and Silicon providers. We work closely across the device partner ecosystem and internal teams to transform the world of computing.

Opportunities in DPS are expansive. We span the entire product lifecycle from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the device design, and selling them through the Retail, Distribution and Reseller channel, sell-through to their consumer and commercial customers. You will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and growth of Windows devices and AI services in partnership with the strength of our device partner ecosystem.

As a Senior Partner Development Manager , you will drive intelligent edge and cloud solutions sales with partners, helping solve customer challenges with Ai infused services. Leading a top-notch partner management process, the role will nurture deep partner executive relationships and build trust, showcasing an understanding of their business and Microsoft's value. Establishing executive sponsorships for joint aspirational goals and orchestrating quarterly business reviews will ensure execution excellence and alignment. You will be responsible for managing partner relationships, partner account management, business transformation model, and operational execution.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with partners by understanding their local strategy and business imperatives.
  • Manage end-to-end relationships with partners, leveraging account management processes and marketing investments for local execution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. category, retail/distribution/reseller sales, marketing) to support partners.
  • Advocate internally with relevant stakeholders to influence and drive actions with internal teams.
  • Monitor partner satisfaction and evaluating the health of relationships is part of the responsibility.
  • Support the partner in selling Copilot+ PC devices and services to further Microsoft’s mission.
  • Articulate the impact of the modern device ecosystem on the partner ecosystem.
  • Focus on driving business growth by creating a local strategic vision for partnerships and achieving Device Partner Sales KPIs.
  • Understand and follow established compete strategies, communicate the value of Microsoft products and services over competitors and contribute to the development of partner compete strategies.
  • Innovate the ecosystem with partners, championing Microsoft as a valued business partner, and activating new channel capabilities.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing , Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8 + years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry
    • OR related experience
  • 5+ years experience in global sales and marketing, with experience working with complex partners.

Partner Development Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
