Senior Project Manager

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple current and upcoming projects at Dulles Airport, including bathroom upgrades, new baggage claim facilities, and terminal upgrades. This role involves overseeing permitting, change orders, and updates, as well as running meetings with clients to discuss project progress. Collaboration with internal and client teams is essential for developing schedules, daily logs, and reports. The candidate will manage construction, design, procurement, schedule, and financial aspects of the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee permitting, change orders, and project updates.
  • Conduct meetings with clients on project progress with clear and concise communication.
  • Collaborate with both internal and client teams to develop schedules, daily logs, and reports.
  • Oversee construction, design, procurement, schedule, and financial management.
  • Utilize client software and databases to update project progress.
  • Manage vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors.
  • Review documents from the General Contractor before sending them to the client.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in design-build, design, project management, and construction management.
  • Experience with change orders, RFIs, and construction documents.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation construction and blueprint reading.
  • Project experience in aviation or transportation preferred.
  • Experience with projects valued at $10 million or more.
  • Knowledge of design, either from Design Build General Contractor or Owner's Representative.
  • Ability to create urgency with subcontractors and vendors to advance the project.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.

  • Highly articulate with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction.
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling, and Risk Analysis.
  • Proficiency in Information Technology, including Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite at Dulles Airport, with the possibility for a hybrid arrangement. The majority of the time will be spent on-site with the end client, five days a week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $155000.00/hr.
