Under the supervision of the Electrician Supervisor, the Electrician I perform the assembly, installation, troubleshooting and repair of electric lights, motors, heaters, generators, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical apparatus. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the electrical shop safe and organized; advising in the selection and storage of electrical equipment, consulting with other trades people, making rough sketches and estimating the cost of minor electrical installations; and the preparation of simple records and reports.
