Shelf - Crane Operator

Overview

A Shelf Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining cranes on an offshore procurement platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Operate levers and pedals to control the crane.
• Follow hand signals to raise, lower, and rotate the boom or load.
• Lift and move equipment or material on the platform and between boats in various sea conditions.
• Maintain and clean crane equipment.
• Provide leadership to construction riggers.
• Conduct safety and operation inspections of the crane.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of prior offshore crane operating experience on a floating facility.
• Crane Operator Certification.
• Stage 3 crane certification preferred
• Previous experience operating Seatrax cranes preferred.
• Deepwater operating experience preferred.
• Mechanical experience or aptitude.
• Lifeboat Captain training/certification a plus
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Real ID driver's license or current passport
