We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are looking for a Mechanical Superintendent (Industrial/Commercial Plumbing and Piping) to join our Field Operations team for work on projects located in the Norfolk, VA area. Mechanical Superintendent's are responsible for daily supervision, direction and coordination of all plumbing and mechanical construction activities, assigned crews (ex. mechanical pipe fitting) on a project jobsite to safely produce quality work, within project requirements. Candidates local to the Norfolk, VA are will be given priority.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
- Courses in construction management, plumbing trade school, etc. preferred.
- Ten or more years work experience in industrial and/or maritime environment working as a plumbing/piping Superintendent running crews with projects sizes (piping or plumbing scope) of at least $1,000,000.00 (industrial or maritime) required.
- Three or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience with pressurized mechanical & plumbing systems highly desirable; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry is preferred.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, NavisWorks, TEAMS) preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Training can be provided.
