What You'll Do:
- Supervise and lead fabrication crews to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to plan and delegate work.
- Coordinate with project managers and logistics teams to prioritize production schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Ensure accurate tracking of material usage, inventor, and labor hours.
- Train and mentor team embers in fabrication best practices and safety procedures.
- Inspect completed work for quality control and adherence to standards.
- Recommend improvements to shop workflow, tooling, and processes.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
5+ years of experience in mechanical/plumbing fabrication or field installation.
Prior supervisory or lead experience in a ship or construction environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical/plumbing systems or construction environment.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficient in basic computer applications and timekeeping systems.
Driving Requirements
Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
Must have positive points on state driving record.
Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
