Job Description
Our client in Dallas, Texas is seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Building Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis.
About the Company:
Located in Dallas, TX
Offers an organized and professional work environment
Manages a small office within a large property building
Working hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM (3rd shift/overnight)
Responsibilities of the 3rd Shift Building Engineer:
Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, HVAC, life safety, and control systems
Monitor and maintain various building equipment
Oversee lighting systems and necessary retrofits
Utilize CMMS for equipment tracking and work orders
Respond promptly to tenant service requests
Supervise work completed by outside vendors and contractors
Proactively inspect the property's interior and exterior
Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies
Support other engineers with daily tasks and inspections
Participate in emergency response procedures and safety training
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
Requirements for the 3rd Shift Building Engineer:
Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations or maintenance
Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and basic computer applications
Strong understanding of safety regulations and maintenance best practices
Ability to troubleshoot and repair building equipment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High-rise or Class A commercial building experience is a plus
HVAC technical training and EPA refrigeration certification preferred
Valid driver's license required
Physical ability to lift/move heavy objects and perform various tasks
Strong attendance record and punctuality
