What you will be doing:
Managing projects through the Locally Administered Process which will include:
Teaching Locals how to administer a project, walk them through it
Going on field/scope review in various locations. (roads, bridges, old RR tracks, cross country, buildings, boats)
Learn more about Environmental and Right of Way
Preparing legislation and agreements
Plan Review
Reviewing Sale and Award documentation
Attend pre-construction meetings
Construction review
Processing invoices
Project close out
Learn Ellis and other programs used by ODOT

Qualifications
Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lower-level engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e., conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
-Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2, 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess valid driver's license.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated registration.
