Position SummaryWe are looking for a visionary and experienced Healthcare Architect to lead the design and execution of transformative healthcare environments. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and is passionate about creating innovative, sustainable, and patient-centered design solutions. From initial client engagement through project completion, you will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Lead architectural projects from concept through construction, ensuring alignment with client objectives, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop and present design concepts, technical drawings, specifications, and comprehensive construction documentation.
- Manage client relationships and collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Strategic Planning.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants to integrate engineering, MEP, and structural systems into cohesive architectural designs.
- Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software to produce high-quality, code-compliant documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior team members through all phases of design, from conceptual development to construction administration.
- Conduct research and select materials, finishes, and systems that support performance, sustainability, and aesthetic goals.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction reviews to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare architecture, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, healthcare regulations, zoning laws, and construction methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and quickly learn new tools or processes.
- Licensed Architect in the state of Texas (or actively pursuing licensure).
- Experience in healthcare-specific quality assurance and compliance.
- Expertise in construction documentation and administration.
- Familiarity with evidence-based design and sustainable healthcare practices.
- This role requires 80% in-office presence and 20% travel for client meetings , site visits, and project coordination.
