The Blatt Group is a family-owned Full-Service General Contractor who has been serving Berks County and beyond for over 35 years! The Blatt Group is currently seeking a Commercial Painter to bring their skills and passion to their dynamic team!

Job Title: Commercial Painter

Essential Job Functions to include but not limited to:

  • Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and patching as needed
  • Apply paints, stains, and coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
  • Use scaffolding, ladders, and lifts safely to reach high surfaces
  • Protect surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper
  • Match colors and mix paint to desired tones
  • Clean tools and work area after each job
  • Read blueprints or specifications to determine the scope of work
  • Ensure job site safety and follow OSHA regulations
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work truck
  • Must be willing to perform other tasks within the construction field. Opportunity to become a carpenter.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of tools of the trade
  • Experience with operating motor vehicles
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of the team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

Hours and Working Conditions:

  • Day shift hours with occasional overtime as needed based on projects.
  • Work environments vary from indoor to outdoor

Compensation:

  • Starting pay rates will range from $20-$30 per hour depending on experience.
