We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Care Chemicals (EM) team in Mauldin, SC.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will install and maintain site mechanical equipment in order to provide a safe operation with maximum production availability.

This position is part of a job family with multiple levels and will be filled at a level that iscommensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.

During your shift as a Maintenance Mechanic, you will...

  • Work in a safe manner; wearing prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensuring that safety protocols are followed. Reporting all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve maintenance issues on stationary and rotational equipment.

  • Maintain various mechanical equipment, including pumps, air compressors, chillers, boilers, vacuum pumps, HVAC systems, and plumbing systems.

  • Understan and work with single and three-phase electrical systems, and read, comprehend, and execute tasks from technical operating and maintenance manuals.

  • Proficiently use maintenance hand and power tools, and operate mobile equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts.

  • Complete all paperwork and computer work accurately and timely, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Perform general labor tasks, including lifting at least 50 lbs., and work in various conditions, including elevated and outdoor environments.

Once trained in the position, this job requires being on-call. Overtime is necessary when equipment is down or needed. There is also potential for working night shifts during major shutdowns.

If you...

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Possess 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.

  • Hold a degreed industrial maintenance certificate from an accredited institution emphasizing mechanical system and equipment maintenance (preferred qualification).

  • Have experience in rigging.

  • Demonstrate prior knowledge of SAP and competency in Windows and Microsoft Office products.

  • Have prior experience with Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), and Condition Monitoring programs, along with exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM).

  • Are familiar with welding, cutting, and machining of carbon and stainless-steel alloys.
