Health & Safety Manager Industrial Metals Fabrication Memphis, TN | Full-Time | $75,000$95,000

An established heavy fabricator is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead all safety and compliance efforts across its Memphis-area facilities. This is a hands-on role responsible for reinforcing accountability, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining a safe working environment in a metals shop engaged in large-scale welded assemblies. Reports directly to the site GM, with coordination at the corporate level.

• Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a safety, industrial, or technical discipline preferred

• 35 years of relevant EHS experience in a fabrication or industrial setting

• Familiarity with rigging and overhead crane safety practices

• OSHA 30 (General Industry) certification required

• Strong documentation, follow-through, and communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety tracking systems

• Capable of working independently and spending the majority of time on the shop floor

• Experience in custom fabrication, welding, or metal forming

• Working knowledge of Tier II, hazardous waste logs, or spill prevention planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1910 and other applicable regulations.

• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses. Oversee the implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.

• Conduct regular inspections, document findings, and drive closure on safety and compliance issues.

• Provide practical, scenario-based safety training to floor personnel, welders, riggers, and supervisors.

• Maintain and improve written safety policies, JSAs, and related documentation.

• Act as the sites primary contact during inspections and regulatory visits.

• Maintain a consistent, visible presence across all shops to reinforce safe work practices and correct unsafe behaviors.

• Oversee rigging, lifting, and crane safety procedures.

• Track and support key compliance areas related to waste handling, storage, and facility reporting.
