Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee and ensure the compliance of safety policies and procedures within our chemical manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will manage safety from both behavioral and process perspectives, working closely with employees and contractors to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee safety policies and procedures for all employees and contractors.
• Conduct floor observations and assessments to ensure safety compliance.
• Review and create Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and other safety documentation.
• Present safety protocols and training sessions to large groups of employees and contractors.
• Familiarize and interact with contractor work activities, providing feedback on safety reporting.

• Experience in safety training, EHS, health & safety, and plant safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety audit procedures.
• Understanding of environmental health and site safety.

• Chemical manufacturing background .
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations.

This position is set in a chemical manufacturing environment, working within a small department of two, collaborating closely with plant leadership. The role requires adherence to basic plant dress codes and ensuring proper PPE requirements are met. This is a day shift position, offering 40 hours per week in a small, family-oriented company that values flexibility and offers long-term opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.
