Summary:
Vanmark Equipment is a custom stainless steel equipment manufacturing company serving the food industry. We are seeking an experienced individual with 5+ years of experience in welding and fabrication of stainless-steel parts and equipment.
Function & Responsibility
Perform TIG/MIG welding and fabrication of custom stainless-steel equipment and parts using supplied engineered drawings and/or blueprints while holding tolerances.
Perform welding, grinding, and finishing of tubing, sheet, and pipe to meet expectations.
Set up and calibrate TIG and MIG welders with the correct welding program.
Set up gas mixing equipment as required for proper function.
Be able to meet or exceed the requirement of the project through manual fabrication such as alignment, scribing, cutting/coping, grinding, polishing, tacking, and welding while maintaining established tolerances.
Must be able to produce vacuum tight welds in hard-to-reach areas of chambers.
Ability and understanding of how to identify the proper order of fabrication and welding operations.
Assemble equipment and manufactured parts using engineered drawings.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, pro-cedure manuals and engineered drawings.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigo-nometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
Ability to work with team members and provide leadership to lower-level welders.
Have knowledge and be comfortable with the use of hand tools such as saws, grinders, and drills.
Must be familiar with the effects of welding, grinding, and polishing on stainless steel.
Must have solid knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Ability to take direction from supervisors.
Ability to meet or exceed job schedule timelines.
Must pay close attention to details while fabricating, welding, and reading engineered drawings.
Safely operate and use forklifts.
Understand and follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work rules.
Willing to be trained on press brakes and waterjets.
Welding tests will be required.
