The Opportunity
TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Lead Field Technician to support our clients expanding infrastructure projects in the Nashville market. Youll play a key leadership rolereading blueprints, solving on-site challenges, and overseeing a team of helperswhile installing low voltage systems in large commercial buildings. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong initiative and technical precision whos ready to lead from the front.
Responsibilities
+ Install and terminate Cat6, voice, data, and CCTV cabling
+ Interpret blueprints and layouts to plan and execute structured cabling jobs
+ Lead and mentor on-site helpers to ensure quality and efficiency
+ Troubleshoot issues as they arise without supervision
+ Interface professionally with clients while representing our client in the field
+ Maintain high safety standards using full PPE
Required Skills
+ Extensive experience installing low voltage cabling (no programming needed)
+ Solid understanding of punch down techniques, cabling standards, and termination
+ Proven ability to lead small teams and manage job sites independently
+ Blueprint reading, problem-solving, and customer service skills
+ Must have own tools and PPE
Nice-to-Haves
+ Experience with access control systems
+ Strong communication and pride in craftsmanship
+ Dependable with consistent 40-hour work availability
Work Environment
+ Active construction sites across Nashville
+ Attire: Jeans, steel-toed boots, and full PPE required
+ Some travel may be needed, though limited

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
