Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma/GED and 3 years of electrician experience.

Certifications, Licenses, or Registration required:

Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Electrician's license or certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of electrical systems, medium voltage distribution systems, emergency generators and related equipment. Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, regulations and safety standards. Problem-solving skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; Interpersonal skills. Skill in the use of computers and related software programs. Ability to work independently. Detailed oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, adjusts, tests and repairs electronic controls and power circuits, electronic circuits and equipment.
  • Lead and execute routine inspections, tests and maintenance tasks on critical and non-critical electrical infrastructure (including but not limited to generators, medium voltage distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, switchgear, emergency lighting, line isolation monitoring systems, etc.) to proactively prevent potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs and replacement of parts. Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to ensure a cohesive and skilled team capable of managing electrical maintenance.
  • Collaborates with teams and leadership to establish and prioritize maintenance schedules based upon equipment criticality.
  • Maintains records and documents electrical distribution systems.
  • Completes and documents work performed in a timely manner and maintains quality standards.
  • Review construction documents for possible concerns in electrical infrastructure.
