We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to lead and manage on-site construction operations for large-scale concrete projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience, particularly in healthcare, education, or hospitality environments, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Client Details Our client is a leading concrete general contractor specializing in complex, high-profile projects in the healthcare, education, and hospitality sectors. Description Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day field operations, including supervision of subcontractors, trades, and labor. Ensure all concrete work (formwork, placement, finishing) is executed to the highest quality standards. Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients. Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct regular site safety meetings and inspections. Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and owners. Lead project planning and sequencing to maximize efficiency and resource utilization. Monitor material deliveries, manpower, equipment, and quality control. Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and site documentation. Proactively identify and resolve field issues and conflicts to avoid project delays. Mentor and provide leadership to assistant superintendents and field staff. Profile Qualifications: 10+ years of field experience, with at least 5 years as a superintendent in concrete construction. Proven experience on complex projects in healthcare, education, or hospitality settings. Strong understanding of structural concrete methods, scheduling, and sequencing. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus. OSHA 30 certification required. Strong commitment to job site safety and quality control. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working for a self-performing concrete contractor. Familiarity with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols for healthcare environments. Knowledge of LEED and sustainable construction practices.
