Job Description:
The School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management at Roger Williams University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Construction Management. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching/research in areas including but not limited to sustainability, coastal construction/resilience, materials and methods, estimating, scheduling, and project control. The successful candidate also will have a strong interest in and be expected to participate fully in the assessment of student learning outcomes and accreditation activities; advise students to help them attain academic and professional success; work with student organizations and/or mentor student competition teams; collaborate/interact with related disciplines, industry partners, and communities; pursue professional development to include scholarly activity; and participate in service activities in support of the University, School, and Program. This position will have a start date in January 2026. Review of applications will begin August 15, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineering or closely related field, preferably from an accredited institution, is required. Prior teaching and industry experience in the USA also is preferred.
At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
