What You'll Do
Accurate identification of material to assign correct value
Assesses weigh materials, inbound & outbound, and directs into the appropriate process area, as well as prices tickets
Collect and process appropriate documentation in compliance for materials sold
Coordinate and process scrap carrier's information upon pick-up and outbound of scrap
Identifies & weighs in-bound and out-bound metal shipments; provides quality customer service, and ensures customer specifications and contract requirements are fulfilled
Maintain accurate record keeping of all documents related to deliveries and shipments
Verify all purchases meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
Accurately complete corresponding delivery paperwork and work with production, sales and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery time
Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours
No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years
No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics
No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in previous 3 years
Perform additional duties as needed.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
What You'll Need
Ability to operate variety of trucks (roll off, van, or flatbed)
Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order
Driver must be knowledgeable in D.O.T. Regulations/Requirements
Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured and product is delivered safely and timely
Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains, drops and hooks trailers, performs inspections and reaches to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Basic computer skills such as familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Exceptional customer service skills required
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
