Mechanical Technician | Conveyor Technician Location: Can live anywhere in the U.S. (MUST be comfortable with travel requirements) Employment Type: Full-Time Travel Requirement: 75-90% within the U.S. Industry: Automation / Material Handling Pay: $28-$33/hr. w/ traveling pay at $25/hr. Position Overview We are looking for a Mechanical Technician with strong experience in conveyor systems and a passion for travel . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys being on the road, and is excited to work hands-on with cutting-edge automation and material handling systems across various client sites. Key Responsibilities Travel extensively to customer locations for system installation, commissioning, and support. Assemble, install, and align conveyor systems and mechanical components according to engineering specifications. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layout schematics. Perform mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure optimal system performance. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and on-site teams to meet project deadlines. Conduct preventive maintenance and provide technical support during and after installation. Document work performed and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience with conveyor systems (e.g., belt, roller, sortation, or automated material handling). Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with tools and mechanical measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics. Comfortable with frequent travel and working in warehouse or industrial environments. Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and/or internationally. Preferred Qualifications Experience with warehouse automation, robotics, or logistics integration. Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
