About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Executive to manage + grow our Mid-Atlantic Division . You will play a pivotal role in seeking out contract opportunities and delivering services to high-profile construction projects and supporting APSIs business. As a leader, youll develop + manage clients, oversee multiple project teams, interface with key stakeholders, and support strategic growth through operational excellence.
You will travel to project sites in the Mid-Atlantic region as required, guide PM/CM, Controls, Scheduling, Design, and delivery efforts. Youll represent the company at owner, agency, architect, executive meetings, business development, and industry functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who seeks an opportunity to manage a regional operation for a growing company. Must be business-focused, carry a professional demeanor, neat, clean, and have polished construction management knowledge, negotiation skills, technical skills, and a strong presence with clients, potential clients, and our partners in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Responsibilities
- Division Leadership : Serve as the company manager for the Mid-Atlantic division of our company which is headquartered in Irvine CA; Oversee our construction management employees and teams placed in the region.
- Client-Facing Leadership : Represent the company in client meetings, interviews with Owners, stakeholder briefings, and drive business development pursuits and growth in the region.
- Business development skills : Ability to find + pursue contract opportunities and valuable clients in the Washington DC + Mid-Atlantic region.
- Team Management : Supervise project teams (PMs, superintendents, engineers); recruit, mentor, and develop top talent.
- Design Oversight : Manage design coordination, technical reviews, and design-to-budget alignment with architects and engineers.
- Action-Oriented Execution : Run and document management-level meetings, track follow-ups, and manage accountability across company teams and stakeholders.
- Data & Reporting : Leverage tools such as Google Sheets and Drive to manage reporting, schedules, budgets, and KPIs.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Masters preferred.)
- 15+ years of construction management experience , with at least 5 years in a Project Executive or equivalent senior role.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain client relationships in the Washington DC area + Mid-Atlantic region.
- Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods, including Design-Build (DBIA certification preferred.)
- Preferred certifications: CCM , DBIA , PE license
- Excellent management, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable with technology and cloud-based construction tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft applications, Procore, BIM 360, Primavera P6, etc.)
