Job Description
Responsible for assembling, installing, sealing, rigging, inspecting, and completing precision structural and system components in accordance with drawings, process specifications, and quality standards. Performs functional tests and verifies form, fit, and function of assemblies and components.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly and Installation:
Assemble and install components into sub-assemblies or final products using precision tools and equipment.
Work from blueprints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and verbal/electronic information.
Measurement and Testing:
Use shop mathematics and precision measuring/test instruments to perform functional tests.
Conduct inspections to ensure assemblies meet specifications and document discrepancies.
Process Adherence:
Follow established procedures, quality control requirements, and safety guidelines.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly certified and maintained.
Tool and Equipment Handling:
Operate conventional and/or CNC machinery and fastening equipment (less than 3-axis movement).
Maintain tooling and equipment as part of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) duties.
Production Support:
Move products within work areas and between operations using assigned equipment.
Complete necessary production transactions and maintain schedule adherence.
Team Collaboration and Training:
Support continuous production flow by training and assisting team members across skill levels.
Train others in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.

Inspection Qualification:
Cross-train in inspection and become SIA (Self-Inspect Authority) qualified.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years, 5-10 years, or 11+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Assembler, or in Sheet Metal work
- Prior aerospace industry experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficient in using precision tools and testing instruments
- Familiarity with CNC or conventional machinery operations
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety
