**Job Summary:** The Technical Project Manager (TPM) oversees the production related engineering and execution aspects of construction projects from requirement definition through design and execution until Start of Production. This role bridges technical requirements and execution, translating stakeholder needs into clear project scopes. The TPM acts as a main point of contact towards the users and ensures that cross-functional teams remain aligned through all project phases, while also driving design reviews and technical planning. Success in this role requires a background in manufacturing/production engineering as well as a general understanding of construction projects, strong project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

**Essential Duties:**

**Project Planning & Execution:**

+ Manage cross-functional factory launch projects in a fast-paced environment

+ Contribute directly to all major project phases, including design, specification, equipment selection, procurement, construction/installation, integration, commissioning, acceptance, and production ramp-up

+ Develop project estimates for space requirements, costs, and timelines

+ Translate diverse stakeholder requirements into a clearly defined project scope and delineate responsibilities

+ Collaborate with infrastructure, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, material flow, and quality teams to coordinate changes to buildings, utilities, processes, and equipment

+ Provide key technical and design input to define project scope and resolve issues during planning, construction, installation, and equipment commissioning

+ Prepare and deliver project status reports and technical explanations

+ Support coordination of equipment move-in, installation, and on-site utility management

+ Ensure adherence to project goals regarding safety, scope, schedule, and budget

+ Manage multiple projects as assigned by construction managers

**Construction Oversight & Compliance:**

+ Oversee construction activities to ensure strict adherence to specifications and requirements

+ Identify non-compliant practices and implement corrective measures to prevent delays

+ Notify leadership immediately of safety concerns, critical issues, or potential critical schedule impacts

**Design & Engineering Leadership:**

+ Drive infrastructure projects, from concept through implementation

+ Translate technical stakeholder inputs & requirements into executable scopes, timelines, and responsibilities

+ Organize and lead design reviews, manage technical deliverables and construction design packages

+ Oversee all aspects of scope development, change management, and engineering services during construction

+ Prepare and drive funding requests for projects/ change requests

+ Support conceptual engineering analysis for various scenarios to support business needs

+ Drive completion and updates of utility matrix

+ Manage change control

**Cross-functional Coordination & Reporting:**

+ Build strong working relationships with internal engineering, operations, safety, and leadership teams

+ Synthesize and present regular project updates, highlighting status, risks, and mitigations

+ Identify and address resource gaps across the lifecycle of multiple projects

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:**

+ To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

**Qualifications: Required and/or Preferred**

**Education:**

+ **Required:** Bachelors degree in industrial, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

+ **Preferred:** Masters degree in industrial engineering or related discipline

**Essential Qualifications:**

+ 5+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in construction or manufacturing projects, or related roles

+ Demonstrated experience with multi-discipline engineering projects across all phases of factory launches

+ Alignment to Panasonics seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 10+ years of experience managing complex projects

+ Working knowledge of local, state, and federal site development regulations

+ Familiarity with infrastructure design (mechanical, process, civil, structural, etc.) and relevant codes and jurisdictions

+ Experience in manufacturing facility and infrastructure design

**Preferred License(s):**

+ None

**Preferred Certification(s):**

+ Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

+ Project Management Professional (PMP)

+ OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification

+ AutoCAD Civil 3D Certification
